RDM were commissioned to carry out the survey of the Upper Bellinger, Never Never  and Kalang River systems to determine the impact of flooding in their respective catchment areas.  The surveys provided accurate horizontal and vertical co ordination to the national grid network (MGA & AHD).  The surveys covered over 60 kilometres of the rivers and provided photogrammetric ground control, over 50 cross sections of the rivers and survey information pertaining to flood history.  The survey was undertaken using GPS technology and a range of electronic survey equipment to provide centimetre accuracy over the project area.
